Nowshera: Snatched cars recovered
NOWSHERA: The National Highways and Motorway Police on Monday recovered four snatched cars and arrested four car-lifters. A spokesman said a team of Motorway police signaled three cars going at a high speed, but the drivers sped. The police intercepted the cars after a brief chase and arrested three accused, Rafiullah, Imran Khan and Wahidullah, residents of Peshawar. He claimed during initial investigation the accused confessed to snatching the cars from the limits of Westridge, civil lines and airport police stations in Rawalpindi.
The spokesman said police signaled a corolla car but the driver tried to run away. The police chased the car and arrested Nasir Khan of Mardan. The recovery was made on a tip-off by the Islamabad police. The car was stolen from Zabzi Mandi police station, Islamabad.
