Lahore: Dacoits loot cash, valuables at gunpoint
LAHORE: Three dacoits held a family hostage at gunpoint and escaped after collecting cash, gold ornaments, prize bonds, and other valuables worth Rs 0.4 million in South Cantonment police area here the other day. As per details, one Maqsood Ahmed, a retired government official and a resident of Mian Meer Lines near Sherpao Bridge, was asleep along with his family members when some three dacoits broke into the home and held the family at gunpoint.
“They collected jewelry, prize bonds, and cash and fled the crime scene,” Maqsood Ahmed told police in his statement. Later, an FIR has been lodged against unidentified accused with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigations are underway.
