Lahore: Malik Bashir, sons remanded in torture case
LAHORE: Judicial magistrate Masror Anwer Khan on Friday granted four-day physical remand of an alleged human trafficker, Malik Bashir, his two sons and seven other accused to Civil Lines police for allegedly torturing two journalists.
On Friday, police produced the accused before the court and sought their physical remand contending that police had to recover weapons of assault from the custody of the accused.
On this, the court has handed over accused to the police for four days, directing police to produce them again before the court by June 28, along with investigation report till that date. According to the case, Malik Bashir along with his three sons and eight bodyguards had tortured two journalists and opened straight firing on them in the Civil Lines police area on Wednesday evening.
