Sindh Assembly employee shot dead in Saddar
KARACHI: An employee of the Sindh Assembly was killed and his associate was wounded when unidentified men opened fire on them in a Saddar area on Sunday night, police said. They said the incident occurred near the passport office, where Abdul Jabbar and Mohammad Rehman were attacked.
The police said that reportedly two suspects riding on a motorcycle arrived there, fire at them and fled. A duty officer at the Preedy police station said that both the victims were employees of the Sindh Assembly and lived in the MPAs Hostel.
They were walking back to the hostel from Saddar when the incident occurred, the duty officer said. The victims were taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi, where Jabbar was pronounced dead on arrival while Rehman was admitted for treatment. The victims hailed from Sukkur, the police added.
