Karachi: Seminary teacher dies
Karachi: A religious teacher was found shot dead at the entrance of a seminary in the SITE area on Monday. Police said that Maulana Sajid Ali Siddiqui was employed by the Jamia Binoria seminary to impart religious education to students but his services were terminated about a year back. The teacher was a resident of Orangi Town and Pesh Imam at a mosque located at Nishan-i-Haider Chowk, they said.
According to the police, Maulana Siddiqui came to the seminary and held a meeting with the seminary management for his reinstatement.
However, he failed to convince the management and out of frustration he shot himself in the head while coming out of the seminary. Police said that Maulana died on the spot and his body was shifted to the Civil Hospital for legal formalities.
