Lahore: Prisoners attack policeman with paper cutter
LAHORE: A police constable was injured after he was attacked by two prisoners when he opened their lock-up to take them to a court on Monday. Police said that Constable Muhammad Kamran was attacked by Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Zohaib, accused in a murder case, with a paper cutter when he opened the doors to their cell. Both Kamran’s hands were injured. He was given first aid on the spot.
Police said that earlier, when the accused were brought to Bakhshi Khana, they refused to enter the cells. They said they had had an exchange of words with Kamran when he pushed them. The accused had misbehaved with the constable, the police said.
