Rawalpindi: Exam cheaters granted bail
RAWALPINDI: All the students and the supervisory staff who had been caught red-handed while cheating in the exam were granted bail by the special magistrate on Tuesday.
Special Magistrate Chaudhry Ismail Tasleem Akhter granted bail to all the 68 students, exam supervisors and their facilitators on surety bonds worth Rs10,000 each. Earlier, the police presented them before the magistrate for judicial remand but on the application of the accused, the magistrate granted them bail.
It may be mentioned here that a total of sixty eight students, a headmaster, a superintendent and two examiners were caught red-handed while cheating during a police swoop at a fake examination center set up at Government Shimla Elementary School, Arya Mohalla on Monday.
All of the students, the two examiners, Headmaster Hamad-ur-Rehman Lodhi and Deputy Superintendent Raja Abid were shifted to the Waris Khan police station and later a case was registered against them.
