Rawalpindi: 3 get death sentence
Rawalpindi: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) No-I Judge Malik Muhammad Akram Awan has awarded death sentence to an accused for murdering a police constable here on Thursday.
The court awarded death sentence and also imposed Rs500,000 on accused Muhammad Saddique and awarded 10 years imprisonment and imposed Rs100,000 fine on accused Muhammad Safir for killing a police constable.
The Golra Police Station had registered a case under Sections 302, 324 and 7 ATA against Muhammad Safir and Muhammad Saddique for killing police constable Muhammad Mushtaq and injured two men namely Muhammad Saleem and Turab-ul-Hasan on June 17, 2010.
Meanwhile, Additional District And Sessions Judge Muhammad Nazir Chaudhry awarded death sentence to an accused in a murder case.
The court awarded death sentence to Nasir Khan and also imposed Rs200,000 fine on him while acquitted two other accused involved in the case. RA Bazaar Police Station had registered a case under Section 302 against three accused who had killed Mir Afzal on July 7, 2009.
