Lahore: Arrest warrants issued
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Monday issued arrest warrants for Punjab Board of Technical Education Secretary Iman Ullah for continuously not appearing before the court in connection with a contempt petition against him.
Justice Sheikh Ahmad Farooq passed this order on the petition moved by the administration of Faisalabad College of Technical Education.
The petitioner pleaded that the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority had registered the college but the PBTE refused to affiliate it. The college said it approached the court for the affiliation and the court ordered the authority concerned to do needful.
But even then the PBTE declined the affiliation. The college moved a contempt petition in the LHC and the court summoned the secretary, PBTE, but he did not appear. The court will resume hearing on July 15.
