Lahore: Warden saves boy from kidnapper
LAHORE: A traffic warden foiled kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy in the Lower Mall police area on Monday. In a handout here, Chief Traffic Officer Ahmad Mobeen said that a warden Mehram Ali on duty near Data Darbar foiled kidnapping of Ursal Zaman, 11, son of Dr. Umar Farooq of Ghaus-e-Azam Colony, Shershah Pull allegedly by Azeem, a resident of Ghazi Road.
The boy was a student at a local Madrassah in Icchhra and on the day of incident, Ursal Zaman had went to Data Darbar without informing the administration of the Madrassah.
There, the warden intercepted the accused asked him why he was forcibly taking the boy with him. On this, the boy started weeping and told the warden that the man was taking him away by force. The warden immediately called the Lower Mall police and handed the accused to them.
The police, after registering a case, are investigating the matter. The CTO announced cash and certificate for the warden.
