Swabi: Principal booked over funds’ embezzlement
SWABI: The anti-corruption officer in Swabi city police station on Monday registered an FIR against the principal of the Topi girls degree college for allegedly embezzling college funds.
Anjum Sardar of Maini village had submitted an application in the office of anti-corruption director, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, against the principal of Girls Degree College Topi, alleging she was involved in the embezzlement of funds.
The director forwarded the application to the district anti-corruption officials, directing them to conduct an inquiry about the alleged accusations against the principal. “We conducted the investigation and registered an FIR against the principal,” said an official. Another official said over Rs500,000 were misappropriated between 2007 and 2011.
