BARA: One person was killed while two others were injured when a hand grenade went off in Speen Dand area of Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency on Sunday, tribal sources said. The sources said that one Umar was clearing dust from a hand grenade while sitting in his shop in Speen Dand when it blew up suddenly. Umar died on the spot while two visitors sitting nearby were injured.
Meanwhile, a local identified as Shaukat was injured when militants opened fire on him in Ghareza area of Bara tehsil on Sunday. He was shifted to a hospital in critical condition.
