Pakpattan: Fraud case against sacked employee
PAKPATTAN: The Anti-Corruption Establishment deputy director has registered a case against a sacked employee of the Agriculture Department for withdrawing salaries fraudulently for six years.
Arshad Mehmood of Chak 205/EB, in an application, stated that the Sahiwal DO Agriculture had dismissed assistant Muhammad Sarwar Ramay from duty for remaining absent from dusty since January 14, 1998. He said that Sarwar Ramay got himself restored through a bogus order on April 26, 2001, got him promoted as senior clerk and withdrew salaries amounting to Rs 173,720 for six years and six months fraudulently.
Meanwhile, the ACE deputy director has registered a case against Patwari Allah Ditta for receiving Rs 50,000 as bribe. The land transfer case of Muhammad Hussain, a resident of Chak 67/EB, was under process at the EDO office. Patwari Allah Ditta of Chak Billi Dilwar allegedly received Rs 50,000 as bribe and decided the case in favour of his opponent. An inquiry was launched against the patwari who was found guilty.
