Lahore: Youth killed over enmity
Lahore: A 25-year-old man was killed allegedly by his rivals over old enmity in Qazi Park Shahdara Town police area in the early hours of Monday. The deceased was identified as Farhan Nasim, son of Naseem Ilahi, a resident of Qazi Park. Police said Farhan was sitting in his drawing room along with his father, a brother and a friend, when four armed men stormed into the house.
They targeted the victim and opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. Police reached the site and removed the body to morgue for autopsy. A case was registered against four persons, Zulfiqar, Tariq, Nazakat and one unidentified, on the complaint of the deceased’s father Naseem Elahi.
Investigation Officer of the case, Sub-Inspector Basharat said both the families had a scuffle several years back over property. He said Farhan’s family had killed one Sharafat in 2005 and deceased along with his brother Mitho was nominated in that case. He added that Farhan was freed from jail some six months back after completing his sentence of five years.
He said on Monday, the rival attacked his house and shot him dead with a 30-bore pistol. He said police had started hunting for the accused.
