208 suicide cases in June: HRCP
SAHIWAL: As many as 208 people, including 73 women, committed suicide during the last month across the country. According to a report released by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), about seven people committed suicide daily from May 26 to June 26.
As many as 119 people committed suicide over personal or domestic problems, while 26 committed suicide due to financial problems. Moreover, 59 people, including 35 women, attempted suicide, but they were rescued. Out of total 267 incidents, only 35 cases were registered.
