4 kidnapped men set free in Orakzai
HANGU: The political administration of the Orakzai Agency on Tuesday claimed to have recovered four persons kidnapped from Marai area of Kohat district four months back. Speaking at a press conference, Political Agent Orakzai Agency Khushal Khan said Mehrab Ali, Norab Ali, Arif Ali and Shoaib Ali were kidnapped from Kohat in February and were shifted to Orakzai Agency.
He said the kidnappers belonged to the Meshti Mela tribe. He said the government warned the elders to help recover the kidnapped men but they did not take any action against the kidnappers. He said the government launched a crackdown against the Meshti Mela tribe and arrested about 80 tribesmen. He added the kidnappers handed over the four abductees to the Assistant Political Agent, Sajidullah fearing further punitive action by the administration. The PA said the government would continue drive against the militants and anti-social elements in the area.
