Islamabad: Man found dead
ISLAMABAD: A bullet-riddled body of a man was found in G-13 area on Tuesday, police said. The incident came to light when some passersby spotted the body and informed the police who arrived on the spot and shifted the body to the hospital.
The victim was identified as Naimat Khan, 66, a resident of Pirwadhai. He had five bullet wounds in his chest. The victim’s son, Amir Shahzad, told the police that the family had no enmity with anyone. However, two unidentified persons came over to his house on a motorcycle on Monday evening and left with his father. He suspected that the motorcycle riders were behind the killing.
The police said Naimat Khan was considered an influential of his area and used to settle issues between rivals. Besides, he also had influence over the police and approached them whenever action was required in certain cases.
