Muridke: 4 of a family among 6 gunned down over land dispute
MURIDKE: Six persons, including two women, were Tuesday killed in village Guchali in Narang police limits over land dispute. The murder victims included Aslam, his mother, wife and son and a passer-by. The deceased were pursuing a double murder case of Attaullah and his grandson Aftab of the same family, who were killed by the rivals 91 days ago. The deceased were Aslam, Shafqat, Rizwan, Ashiq and Manzooran.
Aslam and his son Shafqat, residents of Guchali Warkan (Narang Mandi), were going to Ferozwala court for hearing in the same case. On their way to the court, an acquaintance Rizwan asked for a lift in their car, when three armed men started firing indiscriminately on them, killing the three at the spot and injuring a passerby Ashiq, who later succumbed to his injuries in Mayo Hospital, Lahore, where he had been shifted for treatment.
Later, the gunmen raided the house of Aslam and gunned down his wife and mother also. Narang police have booked five persons but have made no arrest till the filing of this report. Sheikhupura DPO Afzal Butt and Muridke ASP have directed immediate arrest of the culprits.
