Karachi: 2 commit suicide, boy killed
Karachi: At least two people committed suicide, while a boy was murdered on Saturday. A watchman of a factory committed suicide in the SITE-A police limits. Ismail, 35, hailing from Swat, shot himself to death with his licensed pistol, while he was working in a local garments factory. Police said that the man was depressed and ended his own life in sheer frustration.
Meanwhile, the decomposed body of a man was found in Khokrapar police limits. Hassan Raza, 35, was found dead in a room of his house in Nazeer Town.
On Saturday, Hassan’s brother, Anwar, came to meet him and felt stink coming from the house. He climbed the wall and entered the house. When he opened Hassan’s room, he found his body hanging from a ceiling fan.
Anwar immediately informed the police, who shifted the body to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities. The medico-legal officer at the JPMC said that the body was at least three days old and that the man had committed suicide.
The police said that Hassan worked in a garments factory. A few days back, he had a dispute with his wife. Later, she left the house along with children. At this, Hassan became dejected and committed suicide.
A 10-year-old unidentified boy was murdered in Pak Colony police limits on Saturday. A medico-legal officer of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital said that deceased’s throat was slit with a sharp weapon.
Police said that unidentified people first kidnapped the deceased from an unknown place and after killing him, they threw his body in their precincts. Police claimed that the boy was killed due to some personal enmity.
