2 found dead in Lyari
KARACHI: Two people were found dead in the Lyari and Kharadar areas of the city on Tuesday. The recovery of bullet-riddled bodies bearing torture marks marred an unsure peace in one of the oldest neighbourhoods of the city.
A young man was found dead in the Honey Wali Gali area of Kharadar. The victim was hit by five bullets fired from a very close range.
An official at the Kharadar police station said the body was taken to the civil hospital for medico legal formalities where the deceased was identified as 24-year-old Yaseen, a resident of Khadda Market.
In another incident, a young man was found dead in Lyari’s Aath Chowk area. An official at the Kalakot police station said a suspicious gunny bag was spotted along the road near Aath Chowk and later it was found containing the young man’s body. The deceased was identified as 27-year-old Asim, son of Muneeruddin, a resident of Agra Taj Colony.
The man had gone missing some days ago and it was believed that he was in captivity. The official said that the victim had been killed somewhere else before his body was dumped here.
He said the victim was unmarried and had run a shop in Moosa Lane for the past several years. The body was later handed over to the family after medico-legal formalities at the civil hospital.
