Timergara: 6 LHWs terminated for negligence
TIMERGARA: The Executive District Officer, Health, Dr Shaukat Ali, on Tuesday terminated services of six lady health workers, suspended seven ward keepers `ardalies` and stopped salary of other health officials for negligence during the ongoing three-day campaign against polio.
A notification to this effect was issued here. Two more lady health workers have been asked to explain their absence from duties. Later, talking to journalists the EDO Shaukat Ali said: “We took action after receiving several complaints against the staff for negligence in duty”.
The EDO warned to take strict disciplinary action against the health officials who were found non-serious during the course of the drive.
He said the refusal cases were being properly addressed with the help of the district administration. He said the anti-polio campaign in the district was being conducted smoothly as there had been no no-go areas.
