Islamabad: Hotel owner killed on robbery resistance
ISLAMABAD: A hotel owner was shot dead as he resisted a robbery attempt by three alleged dacoits at his hotel located in the limit of Kural police station in the wee hours of Wednesday. One of the robbers received bullet injury when his accomplices opened fire to set him free as he was caught by the people who had gathered there at the alarm raised by the hotel owner.
The police said Rozi Khan, owner of Bismillah Hotel at Khanna along with his two sons was counting the cash. One of his sons spotted three persons acting suspiciously while standing in front of a general store adjacent to the hotel.
They called some people residing at the first floor of the hotel and approached the strangers to inquire about their presence there. However, the three persons pulled out pistols and started firing at the hotel owner, his sons and other people.
As a result, Rozi Khan received a bullet in his chest. He fell down as the blood began to gush from the wound. The robbers tried to escape from the scene but the victim`s sons with help of other people captured one of the fleeing robbers.
