Nowshera: 2 illegally appointed teachers dismissed from service
NOWSHERA: Two women teachers allegedly appointed illegally during the previous government were dismissed from service here Wednesday, official sources said.
The sources said the Executive District Officer (Education) Muhammad Uzair Ali was informed that Saima Begum and Niaz Parveen had been appointed as Certified Teacher at the Government Girls High School, Gul Dheri and Arabic teacher at the Government Middle School, Gul Dheri, respectively by producing fake signatures of former executive district officer Hasnat Gul.
The executive district officer constituted a three-member committee comprising Matiullah Jan, principal Government High School, Shaidu, Noor Jamal, principal Government High School, Badrashi, and Naheed Akhtar Headmistress of the Government Girls High School, Nowshera Cantonment who found that the appointments had been made against the fake signatures of the officer.
The investigation team issued two notifications and ordered dismissal of both the teachers and directed the clerk of the Government Girls Middle School to recover the money that they had withdrawn as salaries from the date of their appointment till July 15, 2011.
The former executive district officer, Hasnat Gul, also confirmed that the appointment letters were issued with his fake signatures. Saima Begum is wife of Muhammad Tahir who is senior clerk in the Education Department in the district. He also was suspended and a departmental inquiry was ordered against him.
Tahir has accused of appointing his relatives in the department in violation of merit. The executive district officer said all the appointments made in the previous government would be investigated and those who had been illegally appointed would be sacked.
