Karachi: Two policemen were among four people killed in various incidents in the city on Thursday. Police Constable (PC) Jumma Khan, 45, was shot dead while returning home on a passenger bus near Shahzoob Hotel.
After completing his duty at the Bilawal House, he was going home in the Hassan Square Headquarters by the Super Hassanzai Coach when three armed men boarded the bus and started proceeded to loot its passengers.
As PC Khan tried to foil the robbery attempt, the bandits opened fire upon him before disembarking the bus and escaping the scene. The injured constable was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to multiple bullet wounds during treatment.
He hailed from interior Sindh and left behind a grieving widow and three children. In another part of the metropolis, two sisters were gunned down in a house in Liaquatabad over a property dispute.

Investigators said the sisters’ two nephews, Zulfiqar and Faraz, paid a visit to the house while their aunts were there and the group entered into a heated argument, after which both men fatally shot Sabra and Shahera.
Zulfiqar had already fled the scene when a police mobile after hearing gunfire reached the house. Law enforcers arrested Faraz on suspicion of murder and an FIR was filed by Sabra’s husband, Shahzad.
