2 foreign militants held in Hangu
HANGU: Security forces here Thursday arrested two foreign militants in Doaba area and recovered weapons from their possession, official sources said.
The sources said that the forces were tipped off about the presence of the militants at the house of an Afghan refugee in Jhandi Darsamand area in Doaba. The forces raided the house and arrested the militants identified as Hakimullah and Abdul Karim. The militants seem to be Afghan nationals.
The forces also recovered five Kalashnikov rifles, two hand-grenades, five binoculars, two guns and 1,400 rounds from their possession, the sources added. The forces claimed that both militants were involved in terrorism-related activities and had been planning to carry out terror act when they were arrested.
