3 OGDCL workers killed in Jaffarabad blast
QUETTA: Three employees of the Oil and Gas Development Corporation (OGDCL) were killed and four others sustained injuries in a bomb blast that took place in the Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad district on Thursday. The blast hit a convoy of the government-run company.
“Unknown men planted an explosive material into a motor rickshaw, parked it on the roadside and detonated it when a vehicle carrying employees of the OGDCL passed there,” police said.
Police said three employees were killed and four others injured. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital where one of the dead was identified as Amjad Ali and two of the wounded as Shafeeq Ahmed and Kamran Siddiqui. Law enforcement personnel rushed to the site and launched a search operation to trace the terrorists. Further investigation is underway.
