Islamabad: 13 persons arrested for bootlegging, drug-pushing
Islamabad: The Islamabad Police arrested 13 persons, including two women, for their alleged involvement in bootlegging and drug-pushing here on Thursday.
According to the police spokesman, Tarnol and Golra police stations nabbed four persons, including two women, identified as Nazim Baig, Muhammad Zadar, Saima Bibi and Aalia Bibi. During checking, 2.700 kilograms of hashish, 1.50 kilograms of opium and a pistol were recovered from them.
In a raid on a house in Sector F-7/3 owned by Malik Tahir, three men identified as Tariq, Abdul Qayyum and Mushtaq were arrested and nine bottles of wine and 96 cans of beer were recovered from them.
Rafaqat Masih was arrested for having 12 bottles of wine. The Aabpara Police arrested Iqbal Masih, Karamat Masih and Liaquat Masih for their involvement in power pilferage.
The Koral Police arrested a murder suspect and recovered a pistol from him. The Golra, Margalla and Shalimar police stations arrested nine suspects during search operation in their respective jurisdictions.
