Karachi: 3 PWs cross-examined in Sarfaraz killing case
Karachi: The counsel for the defendants in the Sarfaraz Shah murder trial completed the cross-examination of three prosecution witnesses (PWs) on Thursday.
An anti-terrorism court was hearing the case against six Rangers personnel — Sub-Inspector Bahur Rehman, Lance Naik Liaquat Ali and constables Mohammad Tariq, Minthar Ali, Shahid Zafar and Mohammad Afzal — and private contractor Afsar Khan, all of whom have been charged with murdering 22-year-old Shah with common intention in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Park in the Clifton area on June 8.
Deputy District Officer Parks Abdul Rasheed, Medico-Legal Officer Dr Ayaz Memon and Sub-Inspector Nasarullah, who had recorded their statements on July 12, were cross-examined by the defendants’ counsel.
Following the cross-examination of the prosecution witnesses, the ATC, headed by Judge Bashir Ahmed Khoso, adjourned the hearing till Friday.
