Lahore: Arrest warrants for NAB investigator
LAHORE: AN accountability court on Tuesday issued bailable arrest warrants for National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Investigation Officer (IO) Raheel Anjum for not complying with the court’s orders.
The court had been summoning the IO repeatedly but he did not bother to appear before the court. Upon this, the court issued bailable arrest warrants. The court has directed the said NAB official to appear before the court by August 3 along with a clarification report that why he was not appearing before the court.
Raheel Anjum was investigation a reference filed against one Pakistan Railway official namely Ghulam Rasool. In this reference, the NAB has accused Ghulam Rasool for accumulating assets beyond genuine means amounting to Rs. 6.5 million.
