Rawalpindi: ATC frames charges against kidnappers
RAWALPINDI: Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) judge Syed Pervez Ali Shah on Tuesday framed charges against two accused for their involvement in a kidnapping for ransom case.
The court framed charges against Hadayatullah and Rabia Bibi who had kidnapped Chaudhry Muhammad Ayaz and demanded Rs30 million as ransom for his release. Taxila Police had registered a case under Section 365-A against Hadayatullah and Rabia Bibi and three other accused on May 21, 2011.
The other accused managed to escape during police clash with the kidnappers near Misrial Road. After a bloody fight the police had recovered Ayaz and arrested Rabia and Hadayatullah.
Applicant Usman Ayaz, son of Muhammad Ayaz, said that some persons forcefully put his father into a XLI car, with press plates, and took him to some unknown location.
