Nato oil tanker blown up
LANDI KOTAL: An oil-tanker carrying fuel for the Afghanistan-based Nato troops was destroyed in an explosion near the Army garrison, official and tribal sources said on Wednesday. The sources said the militants had attached a time device with the tanker (621-TLA) that went off when it reached the Landikotal Bypass Road.
The tanker caught fire after the explosion and caused leakage of 50,000 litres fuel. However, no casualty was reported in the explosion. Firefighters extinguished the blaze to save more Afghanistan-bound trucks and oil tankers from catching fire. The political administration arrested the driver Saleem and helper Anwar, residents of Lakki Marwat district.
