Lahore: 2 found dead
LAHORE: A 35-year-old woman was found murdered as her throat was slit-open in her rented house in the Nawab Town police jurisdiction on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Shamim Akhtar, wife of Nadeem, a resident of Eden Garden. Police have registered a murder case against the victim’s husband Nadeem on the complaint of the deceased’s father Abdul Razzaq.
Shamim and Nadeem were married some seven years back. They had been living in the rented house in Eden Garden for the past two and half months. They had one and a half years old daughter.
Nadeem suspected that his wife had developed illicit relations with some local of the area. The couple used to quarrel and exchange harsh words over the issue for the past some time. Police quoting the father of Shamim said that on Thursday Nadeem had killed Shamim with a sharp-edged weapon in her house.
Police after being informed by a local reached the scene and removed the body to morgue for autopsy after collecting forensic evidence. A police official said that the victim had been killed with a sharp-edged weapon as her throat was slit-open and she was lying in a pool of blood. The accused was not arrested till the filing of this report.
