Bannu: 108 ‘outlaws’ held
BANNU: The city police claim to have arrested 108 outlaws, including three proclaimed offenders, wanted to law-enforcement agencies in various cases of heinous crimes.
DPO Sajjad Khan told media men here on Sunday that the criminals had been arrested during ongoing operation by the police from different areas of Bannu. Three Kalashnikovs, three Kalakoves, one rifle, eight guns, 79 pistols and 1,890 rounds were also seized from possession of the outlaws.
The DPO said that hoarding and price hike would not be allowed during Ramazan. Special arrangements have been made for security of mosques during Taraveeh prayers, he added.
The district police officer urged people to cooperate with police and inform them in case of seeing any suspected person or shopping bag in their surroundings.
