AVLS arrests infamous car lifter, recovers 15 cars
LAHORE: Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS) of City Division Police, on Tuesday, arrested a notorious car lifter and recovered 15 cars worth five million rupees.
According to an official handout issued on Tuesday, on the direction of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Ahmad Raza Tahir, DIG (Investigation) Ali Amir Malik and SSP (Investigation) Abdul Razaq Cheema directed SP CRO Sajjad Hussain Manj to take effective measures against criminals involved in car lifting.
Manj then constituted a special team under the supervision of AVLS DSP Tariq Mehmood Sukhara, comprising Sub-Inspector Mehdi Hassan, ASI Abdul Latif and other police officials. The team was eventually successful in collecting particulars of an infamous car lifter, Eezat Baigh, eventually arresting him. Also, police recovered 15 cars from his possession. Meanwhile, the CCPO announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the entire police team.
