Karachi: Haqiqi supporter among four killed
Karachi: Four people, including a supporter of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-Haqiqi), were killed in separate incidents in the city on Friday. Ramzan alias Babu, 27, was shot dead in G-Area of Khokharapar, police said. They added that he was a resident of the same area and was present outside his house when some unidentified men on a motorcycle appeared, shot him dead and fled.
Police said Babu had received multiple bullet wounds. They seized some empty casings of 9mm pistol from the spot. Babu, who hailed from Mianwali, had been running a fish business. They said Babu was a supporter of the MQM-H. They termed the murder an act of target killing. In another case, Arston Tony, 35, was killed by bandits near the Drigh Road Railway Station.
Police said that Tony had gone to the area to pick his son from tuition. On their way home in their car, when the two reached the railway station, some armed bandits intercepted their car. On seeing the bandits, Tony accelerated his car, upon which the bandits shot and injured him and fled. The injured was rushed to a hospital where he died. The deceased was a resident of Cantt Bazaar and government servant.
The bullet-riddled body of an unidentified man was found from the Eidgah police limits. Late on Friday night, Jaseem Khan was shot dead by his brother Nadeem Khan in the PIB Colony police limits, police said. The incident happened before Iftar at a house in PIB Colony. Both brothers entered into a heated argument over a petty dispute, after which Nadeem pulled out his pistol and shot and killed his brother before escaping, the police said.
