4 more killed in Quetta attack
QUETTA: At least four people were killed on Monday when unknown armed men opened fire on them here in Rind Garh. Unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on four people standing at Jatak Stop, killing all four on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Hameed, Abid Khan, Nehal Khan and Saadullah and were shifted to Bolan Medical College Hospital. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained. Police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies arrested as many as 60 suspects here on Monday after three police personnel were killed here including a senior police official. “Law enforcement agencies including Frontier Corps, police and Balochistan Constabulary launched a crackdown in various sensitive areas and held 60 suspects,” police sources confirmed to APP.
They added that LEA operation was launched after the unknown assailants attacked and shot dead Station House Officer PS New Sariab Manzoor Tareen, his driver and security guard when they were riding in an official vehicle for routine patrolling. The investigation teams headed by senior officials have been interrogating the suspects. Further investigation is underway.
