Bahawalnagar: Brother, herdsman killed over land dispute
BAHAWALNAGAR: A farmer killed his brother over land dispute in 171 Murad here. Muhammad Azhar, a resident of 171 Murad, purchased 3 acres of land from his brother Murtaza. Later, Murtaza sold the land to Imran fraudulently. Dispute turn erupted when eight accused opened fire on Azhar and his brother Zulfiqar.
As a result, Zulfiqar died on the spot and the other victim suffered critical bullet injuries. Police rushed to the spot and took the dead body in custody and dispatched it to hospital for autopsy. Separately, a minor grudge claimed life of a poor goat herder. One Liaqat, a resident of 221/9R went to graze his goats. Animals entered the field of another land owner whose sons Shehzad, Saif-ur- Rehman, Asif and Munir bashed him yesterday. In the meantime, Shafaqat, the brother of poor herdsman, came to help his brother, they killed him. The body of Shafaqat has been shifted to hospital for autopsy.
Child electrocuted: A child was electrocuted as he touched an air cooler in Baldia Colony, Haroonabad here.
Ali Hasan, 6, was playing in front of his house. Meantime, he touched the air cooler installed in front of his house.
He was shocked and expired on the spot. His father alleged that Ali Hassan was earlier got shocked from that air cooler but he did paid heed to the issue. He lodged a complaint against the owner.
