Murder case: Bail plea of 2 accused dismissed
PESHAWAR: A local court on Monday dismissed bail application of two women charged with the killing of their husband a few days ago. The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Altafur Rehman Khan, observed that the two applicants, Rabia and Samina, were not entitled to the concession of bail.
Husband of the two women, Amjid Ali, had died under mysterious circumstances on June 18, 2011. Later on, it was transpired that he was poisoned to death. The police arrested his two wives, alleging the women planned to get rid of their husband after suspecting that he was going to arrange another marriage.
The state prosecutor contended that the applicants had confessed their guilt while in police custody. He added the circumstantial evidence was also against the accused.
