Islamabad: Impersonators’ gang active in twin cities
ISLAMABAD: A gang under the cover of law-enforcement agencies is active in twin cities and it deprived people of millions of rupees on Tuesday, but police has been failed to make any arrest.
A citizen Rohail Irshad had filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) with Shalimar Police Station and Sadiqabad Police Station Rawalpindi vide 601, 729 and 521 in which he had stated that Malik Niaz Hussain, Asif Sherazi and Raja Shariq had introduced themselves as officials of law-enforcement agencies. Many times they called from office and gave an impression that they were on a very important mission in the twin cities. They said that they had gotten a claim from Capital Development Authority (CDA) and wanted to give it to him. Later on, they received Rs 900,000 from him and disappeared. Rohail inquired about them but law-enforcement agencies did not confirm them as their employees. He stated that one of the accused, Malik Tahir, had introduced him as a director in an agency so he had filed an application against him with Military Account General Rawalpindi.
