Karachi: ‘Target killer’ arrested
Karachi: Personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Sindh, claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in target killing and looting expatriates from the SITE area and also recovered arms from his possession.
SSP Mohammed Aslam Khan said that task had been assigned to DSP Ali Raza to nab the culprits involved in target killing and other criminal offences and directed busing of their network. During the investigation period, DSP Ali Raza of the CTU, along with his team, conducted a raid in SITE A police limits.
On seeing the police, the accused opened fire which was retaliated by the police and after an encounter arrested Mazharuddin, alias Mota Pehlwan, with a recovery of one Kalashnikov, bullets and one motorcycle.
The accused was shifted to the Investigation unit for interrogation. During probe the accused confessed to committing a number of target killing and street crime offences.
