5 of a family murdered in Faisalabad
FAISALABAD: A man, his wife and three minor children were slaughtered in the jurisdiction of Batala Colony, police found on Sunday. Police said Sardar Muhammad Khawar, 40, along with his wife and three children was living on the second floor of a house in Waris Pura, a locality of Batala Colony.
He had shifted from Multan to Faisalabad three months ago and started business of making flower pots. The area people witnessed the house of Sardar Muhammad Khawar locked for the last few days and also felt foul smell from the house. They informed the police who broke the door of the house and found the inmates murdered.
The victims were identified as Sardar Muhammad Khawar, his wife Saleema Bibi, 35, daughters Javeria, 5 and Fareeha, 2, and a son Muhammad Ahmad just one-and-a-half-year old. Police took the bodies into custody and sent them to the mortuary of the Allied Hospital for autopsy.
Police said the incident of killing was took place about 48 hours ago. Unidentified assailants cut the throats of all family members. Muhammad Shafique, the brother of deceased Khawar, told the police that they had no enmity with anyone. Regional Police Officer Aftab Cheema and other senior police officers also visited the spot.
The RPO claimed evidences were being collected and thereafter it would be determined whether this incident was an outcome of enmity, dacoity or a move to terrorise people.
