Karachi: Police in pursuit of man for killing wife, 2 daughters, father-in-law
KARACHI: Police are in pursuit of a man who allegedly killed his wife, two stepdaughters and father-in-law inside their house situated within the jurisdiction of New Karachi Industrial Area police station. Forty-two-year-old Jehangir, who works in a local factory, has been accused of killing his wife Jamsheda, 39, her two daughters Amna, 16 and Hina 13 and father-in-law Rajab Ali 89.
Police officials say that they were found dead from their house located near Sindhi Hotel, Sector 5-F on Sunday morning. They further said that the accused killed them at least four days ago over an apparent property issue. Victims’ neighbours complained of foul odour disseminating from the house. Police reached the site and found four dead bodies, which were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. According to doctors, all four were slaughtered with a jagged weapon and would have been poisoned before the crime. The Bengali family had been living in the area for past four years. Accused Jehangir and victim Jamsheda had tied the wedding knot for the second time in their lives and Amna and Hina were Jehangir’s stepdaughters. Medico-legal officer of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital said all four victims were slaughtered with no other torture marks on the bodies. In reply to a question, he said that samples have been sent to the laboratory for finding out the possibilities of victims being poisoned.
