Rawalpindi: 3 killed in separate incidents
RAWALPINDI: Three persons were found killed in separate incidents in different areas of the city on Sunday, police said. In the first incident, Mohammad Yaqoob, a security guard at the Capital Development Authority (CDA) was strangulated by some unidentified persons in his rented room in Pirwadhai area.
The incident came to light when the residents of the street felt a stinking smell coming out of the room and informed the police who broke the door and found the Yaqoob`s body on his bed with a cloth wrapped round his neck. However, nothing was found missing from his room.
In the other incident, Shabana Bibi, 22, committed suicide by shooting herself with a pistol in her house in Sadar Barooni area.
Preliminary police report said that Shabana Bibi had a dispute with her in-laws which drove her into distress. On Sunday, she had an exchange of hot words with her mother-in-law. Afterwards, she went into her room and shot herself dead.
Meanwhile, the Saddar Barooni police found a body of an unidentified man lying on the bank of Leh nullah. The police said it appeared that the body had been fished out as the man seemed to be drowned in the nullah and came there floating on the water.
