Landi Kotal: Nato supply suspended due to threat of attacks
LANDI KOTAL: The Khyber Agency Administration Tuesday halted Nato supplies in the wake of growing attacks on Afghanistan-bound oil tankers and containers on the Pak-Afghan highway, official sources said. Sources said fearing more attacks on Nato supply trucks and oil tankers, the Khyber Agency Administration and security forces temporarily suspended transportation through the Khyber Pass Road to the Torkham border.
Thus, scores of loaded trucks and oil tankers were returned from the Karkhano market police check-post to Peshawar, sources said. “We have received credible information that militants would target Nato containers,” an official, pleading anonymity, told The News.
