Rawalpindi: NH&MP recovers two stolen cars
Rawalpindi: The National Highways & Motorway Police recovered two more stolen vehicles and arrested two car lifters. The NH&MP officials stopped a black Toyota Corolla car (LED-8873) on suspicion near Burhan Interchange. During search of the vehicle, it was found that the culprit had affixed a fake number plate, whereas, the original number of the said vehicle was LED-2269.
The NH&MP arrested the culprit namely Tanveer, a resident of Lahore. On further interrogation, the culprit disclosed that he was hired for Rs25,000 to transport the car to Mardan from Lahore and it had been stolen from Lahore. The owner was handed over the vehicle while the accused has been handed over to the police in Lahore.
A Honda Civic car (IDH-1397) stolen from the jurisdiction of Sabzi Mandi Police Station was recovered from Marathi Interchange, Mardan.
