2 accused of Rs 2.7m dacoity arrested in court
LAHORE: The local police, on Wednesday, arrested two accused, Talib Hussain and Alam Sher, after their bails were cancelled in the Lahore High Court (LHC) by Justice Kazim Raza Shamsi.
Talib Hussain and Alam Sher were accused in a dacoity case of Rs 2.7 million in Hafizabad. Both the accused had been granted bails previously and they had appeared in the court on Wednesday for the bails’ confirmation. The investigating officer (IO) informed the judge that several cases of dacoity and theft were lodged against the two applicants in which they were required for further investigation.
After listening to the IO’s statement, the judge turned down the request for bails’ confirmation and ordered the police to arrest both the accused. As soon as the judge announced the decision, both of them tried to escape but were chased by police and eventually caught near the LHC main gate.
