2 fraud cases registered in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: The Anti-Corruption Circle here Tuesday registered two separate cases of fraud against 15 persons including three officials of the Revenue Department for grabbing and selling the 73 kanals of land worth Rs15 million owned by three sisters in the Amankot area of the district.
Addressing a press conference, the in-charge inspector of the Anti-Corruption in Nowshera district Qazi Aslam said that the land owned by Shahnaz Bagum, Saira Bano and Sumera Noreen had been grabbed and sold in a fraudulent manner by their brother Tila Muhammad Khan in connivance with some other accused through fake papers.
The officials said investigation showed that the application of the sisters seeking the help of the government to recover their land proved to be correct. He added that the first information report (FIR) was registered by Shahnaz Bagum against the accused who included the former official of the revenue department Tahir Shah and patwari Imtiaz Ali. The other accused were Tila Muhammad, Farooq Ahmad, Zafar Ahmad, Fawad Ahmad, Jawad Ahmad, Salman Ahmad, Ikramullah and Inamullah, all residents of Amankot.
He added the land of the three sisters was transferred and sold through fake signatures and raids were being carried out to arrest the accused, adding that further investigation into the case had been carried out in coordination with the other line departments.
