Karachi: 3 abducted girls escape to freedom
Karachi: Three Hindu girls who were kidnapped by a pimp from different parts of the city, managed to escape from the house they were held captive in on Tuesday.
Nandini, Mala, and Pooja were kidnapped from Ilyas Goth situated near Teen Hatti in Super Market police area, while Mala were kidnapped from Nabi Bukhsh police limits and Pooja was kidnapped from Cattle Colony in Bin Qasim police jurisdiction.
The pimp, Younus, after kidnapping the girls, brought them to his residence in Nasir Colony, Korangi police limits.
Before kidnapping these girls accused Younus develop friendly relations with their parents and brought them gifts.
Nandini was kidnapped by Younus in 2009 when, according to the girl, her parents were not at home. He took her to a house in Korangi where he lived with wife and son Abdul Rehman, and confined her.
The parents of Nandini had nominated Younus in FIR No:242/2009 but the Super Market police did not take any action.
On Tuesday, August 23, 2011, when the pimp left the door unlocked and forgot to warn his wife, all the three girls got the opportunity and somehow managed to escape from the house. They reached the Roshni Helpline safely and pleaded for the help.
The SDPO, Gulbahar, Afnan Ameen, formed a police team headed by the SHO Super Market & ASI Rana Nisar Ul Haque. The police have told the Helpline that they have raided few places and expected to arrest the actual culprit soon.
