Peshawar: Man gets life term in murder case
PESHAWAR: Additional district and sessions judge Liaqat Ali Marwat on Wednesday convicted a person for murdering his wife and sentenced him to life imprisonment and fined him Rs100,000.
Following completion of evidence and arguments by both the parties, the court pronounced that the prosecution had proved its case against the accused, Akram, resident of Phandu area in Peshawar. The accused was arrested on charges of murdering his wife. An FIR was registered against him at the Chamkani police station on December 5, 2009. The prosecution claimed Akram hanged to death his wife Nusrat after an altercation between them due to domestic dispute.
