Lahore: Killer gets capital punishment
Lahore: Additional District & Sessions Judge Mahrukh Aziz Tarar on Friday awarded death sentence to Khurram Shehzad who had gunned down the citizen Irfan Ahmed.
According to case details, deceased Irfan Ahmed resident of Railway City Quarter Raiwind had requested the convict Khuram Shehzad for not stopping near railway lines as his sister used to go to school from there but the convict did not bother to listen Irfan’s request.
After few days, Irfan once again requested him not to stand at Railway lines when he was coming to his home from a factory where he worked but hot comments exchanged between them. Soon Khuram Shehzad flared up and took his pistol and opened fire on Irfan who received one bullet on his chest. Later he was ferried to Jinnah Hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
The residents succeeded to overpower Khuram Shehzad was later handed him over to City police Raiwind. The father of deceased got registered case against Khuram Shehzad under section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code.
On Friday the judge after hearing final arguments from both parties awarded death sentence to Khuram Shehzad and also fined the convict of 2,00,000 rupees with extension of six months imprisonment in case of non-payment of fine to heirs of the deceased.
Meanwhile, judicial magistrate (Model Town) on Tuesday extended the physical remand of Saadia Asif who had killed her teenaged servant for not serving meal to his pet dog till August 29.
Saadia Asif, resident of Velencia Town, ordered his servant Taqin Usman of Chiniot to serve food to her dog when she was going to market. On her return she found that the dog was staring and got infuriated. At this she locked Usman in a room and severely tortured and the boy could not survive the severe torture by the lady. Police had registered FIR against the lady on complaint of deceased father.
